During the period 1952-2008, real prices of wood before taxes and charges declined. However, the actual net income has not changed by the same percentage as the price list, because taxation, driving costs and the ability to make deductions has changed. This report considers the inflation by using the Swedish consumer price index. Net income refers to the remaining income when relevant costs, taxes and fees have been paid.The purpose of this study was to examine how the private forest owner's real net income has evolved over the period 1952-2008 for three categories of forest owners. Självskadebeteende är ett stort hälsoproblem i Sverige och resten av världen, framförallt bland unga kvinnor (Socialstyrelsen, 2004a). Studier (Gollust, Eisenberg & Golberstein, 2008;Bjärehed & Lundh, 2008; Lloyd-Richardson, Perrine, Dierker & Kelley, 2007) visar att flickor och unga kvinnor aktivt skadar sig själva men att få av de drabbade söker vård för sina besvär. Patienter som skadar sig själva upplever att vårdpersonal har svårt att förstå deras situation (Craigen & Foster, 2009) samtidigt som vårdpersonal känner sig negativt inställda till att vårda patienter med självskadebeteende (Friedman et al. 2006). Det finns en frustration i vården bland både personal och patienter men endast lite evidensbaserad forskning kring området.

Våren 2008 startade på ett naturbruksgymnasium ett förbättringsprojekt kallat ?Ökad måluppfyllelse 2008-2010?. Projektets utgångspunkter är att skolan under en tvåårsperiod aktivt ska arbeta för att öka andelen elever på Naturbruksprogrammet som når målen i de kurser som ingår i deras studieplan. De mål som anges i projektplanen är att fler elever ska nå betyget godkänd eller bättre i samtliga kurser och att de i större utsträckning ska göra det inom ramen för kurstiden. Betygens likvärdighet ska kvalitetssäkras och resultaten följas upp bättre.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how peace journalism was expressed in Swedish newspapers´ reporting on the war in Georgia 2008. We did this by analyzing whether the reporting was elite- or people-orientated depending on how suffering was expressed and how the war players were described.The method we used was Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). It was applied on news articles from four Swedish newspapers that covered three different happenings in the war in Georgia.We found out that the reporting was mainly elite-orientated, both when it comes to how suffering was expressed, as well as how the war players were described. The newspapers tended to focus on only one party?s suffering and one party as evil-doer, which is elite-orientated reporting and also an indication of war journalism rather than peace journalism..

2008 presenterades utredningen SOU 2008:52, ?Legitimation och skärpta behörighetsregler?. Avsikten var att komma tillrätta med problemet att så många lärare var obehöriga, vilket ansågs försämra kvalitén i skolan. Uppsatsens material består i utredningen samt sex relaterade remissvar.Syftet med uppsatsen var att söka svar på vilka argument utredningen använde, på vilket sätt de presenterades samt hur de bemöttes i remissvaren.För att uppnå detta användes verktyg för retorisk analys och, i remissvaren, ett språkligt perspektiv med fokus på värdeladdade ord.Resultatet var att utredningen till största del använde sig av hänvisningar till bl.a. andra utredningar, forskare och andra auktorisationssystem.Det visade sig även att remissinstanserna s.a.s.

Over the last couple of years, growers, researchers, advisors and plant protection companies have noticed increasing problems with tortricids in Swedish apple orchards. Since the insecticide Gusathion (azinphosmethyl) has been banned (end of 2008; KemI 2008), a further increase of tortricid populations can be expected. In order to get a picture of species composition and population densities among the tortricids, an inventory of seven species, Adoxophyes orana, Archips podana, Archips rosana, Cydia pomonella, Hedya nubiferana, Pandemis heparana and Spilonota ocellana was made in 11 orchards in southern Sweden (Skåne) in 2008. New guidelines and laws were set to try and improve the quality of the auditing business while trying to restore stained reputation. When Sweden acceded to the European Union in 1995 the term social economy was introduced to the Swedish context, gradually replacing the term civil society. This replacement can be seen as an indicator of a changing meaning of what the concept of civil society used to stand for.The aim of this essay is to study if it is possible to identify changing perceptions of the role of civil society for democracy in Sweden in government bills between 2002 and 2008, and, if so, what effect does this have on the delineation between the civil society and the government.An analytical model is proposed consisting of two dimensions which both capture the roles of civil society for democracy and the model examines how those roles relate to the government.The conclusion is that the government still sees the main function of civil society as a democratic school and a change agent for democracy. However, there is strong evidence to suggest that the civil society is increasingly regarded as more of a welfare producer than a fosterer of democracy..
